3 Prizes....2 Styles....1 Contest!
=MOSREDNA and =Konijntje are having a contest for their watchers!
What kind of contest?
This contest is a combination of two different styles! Mosredna has chosen a lonely object for part of the requirement. I have chosen a retro / vintage look. Both of these styles must be included in the photograph. Use your imagination....any lonely object...and any kind of retro/vintage look! Manipulations will not be considered. All entries must be new work!
How long is the contest?
Contest ends July 9th!
How will the contest be judged?
Judging will be conducted using an extremely complicated mathematical equation combining polls, along with our own opinions, on how well each submissoin met contest guidelines.
**PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ENTRY MEETS BOTH GUIDLINES (LONELY AND RETRO / VINTAGE LOOK) BEFORE YOU SUBMIT IT.**
Where do I submit my entry?
Send a note to either Mosredna or me with Contest Entry in the title. The note should contain a link to your submission. The submission should be in your gallery. Please include in your submission description LonelyRetroness Contest.
What do I get if I win?
First place:Either a 1 yr. subscription -OR- a lifetime Prints Account (which includes a 3 month sub.)
Second place:6 month subscription
Third place:3 month subscription
*I will post all contest entries in my journal as they are submitted!*

I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly this "retro / vintage" expression means....Are all the works subjected sofar "retro" ? And wherein lies the "retroness"?
I think they're extremely different, I can't really see the common denominator ... and I've been looking at my own new photos to see if any of them were "retro" but I honestly have no clue...

Pick one: Random deviation
The examples I have in my journal show the look I'm looking for.
You are correct, not all of the submissions have a retro look. But for each one that doesn't I've given them the chance to go back and work on that part...following my example thumbs. There are only about 8 that I think have the retro look. Now, there are more interpretations to retro / vintage than I have examples of...and those are all ok. For example, some black and whites, some sepia, but mostly I want to see something along the lines of my example thumbs.
Your new photos won't look particularly retro...it's a look that, more than likely, you will need to enhance through PS or PSP. All you need is a photograph of a lonely object...then, though editing, add the retro-look.
Does this help?
